Core Grantee Benefits

Services and Support
Available to Core Grantees of the Pierce Family Foundation

The Pierce Family Foundation supports nonprofit organizations providing essential social services in the area of housing and opportunities for homeless people. The Foundation has a special interest in helping its grantees to build their operating capacity and function as efficiently as possible. We have an unusual support program for Core Grantees, involving the provision of direct services, consulting support, and other technical assistance. Currently, these services beyond the grant are available only to the select group of organizations we refer to as the Core Grantees.

To help ease the burden of nonprofit operations, The Pierce Family Foundation makes the following available to core grantees:

Core Grant

Typically, annual grant in the $25,000 range, with the possibility of renewal each year for five years
Plus:
Services and Support for Core Grantees Available Annually

Available Occasionally: Matching Grants for Special Needs
Occasionally, PFF will make additional contributions in the form of challenge grants or matching grants for one-time or unexpected needs, or to help cover the costs of critical projects identified as a step critical to increasing agency efficiency. These special, one-time grants are made infrequently, and are not likely to exceed $10,000,
