Chicago Religious Leadership Network (CRLN)
Responding to the call of Latin America’s poor majorities, the Chicago Religious Leadership Network on Latin America is an interfaith education, action, and advocacy network. CRLN equips and mobilizes religious leaders and congregations to advance peace, justice and human rights in our hemisphere. Through speakers, workshops, monthly membership updates, advocacy action initiatives, delegations to Latin America, and meetings with U.S. policy-makers, CRLN engages religious communities and leaders to speak out for just U.S. policies.

Good News Partners (GNP)
Located in East Rogers Park, is a 32 year old faith-based community organization that provides affordable housing for homeless families with a step-by-step transition from interim housing to independent living. Our housing options include (1) New Life Interim Housing, serving homeless women and children; (2) the Jonquil, an SRO, accommodating 58 families; (3) GNP subsidized rental housing, and (4) 60 units of co-op housing affordable for families with very low incomes.

Interfaith House (IFH)
Interfaith House the only facility in Illinois providing a safe haven and care specifically for the ill and injured homeless. Helping those we serve recover from physical illness or injury, regain control of their lives, and re-enter society through permanent housing placements. Our holistic approach provides permanent solutions to homelessness. We are a model of success for transitioning people from illness and homelessness to health and housing.

Neighborhood Housing Services (NHS)
Neighborhood Housing Services of Chicago’s mission is to create opportunities for people to live in affordable homes, improve their lives and strengthen their neighborhoods. NHS educates and prepares new homeowners for success; provides mortgage loans for purchase, rehab and refinance; provides foreclosure intervention services; builds and rehabs single-family homes; and builds powerful and enduring community partnerships. Since 1975, NHS has served 163,380 clients, invested $388 million in Chicago neighborhoods and created 2,951 new homeowners. NHS services are available to residents of the City of Chicago and Kane County.

La Casa Norte (LCN)

Institute of Women Today (IWT)
The Institute of Women Today was started in 1974 by a group of interfaith women who advocated on issues affecting women and children. Today IWT operates
Maria Shelter, a 50-bed interim housing facility for homeless women and their children, and the
Vincennes Senior Center, which offers senior citizens a place to socialize, enjoy a nutritious meal, and learn new skills. Both facilities are located in the Englewood community of Chicago, one of the most economically deprived areas of Chicago.

The Cara Program
The Cara Program assists motivated individuals affected by homelessness and poverty to transform their lives and achieve real, lasting success, by providing comprehensive training, permanent job placement, and critical support services. The comprehensive nature of The Cara Program takes into account the need to support Cara students as they transition into the workplace. Over 100+ Chicago area companies hire Cara students and hundreds of parents have reclaimed custody of their children.

The Emergency Fund
The Emergency Fund provides immediate financialassistance to help low income Chicago area individuals and families through a crisis or transition. In 2004, The Emergency Fund for Needy People merged with My Brother’s Keeper, and the organization grew to become the largest provider of homelessness prevention funds in the Chicago area. It was at this time the Fund shortened our name to Emergency Fund. Together with our partners, the Emergency Fund provides financial assistance as well as other resources, as needed, to help families and individuals in need avert crises.

Housing Opportunities for Women
HOW empowers women, children and families to break the cycle of homelessness and poverty. Since 1983, HOW has been a leader in permanent solutions to homelessness by striving to promote capacity, sustainability, and provide innovative and effective services for individuals, families, and communities. HOW operates under the Housing First Model, which ensures that homeless individuals are housed as quickly as possible, and then provided with tools for success and self-sufficiency.
